![]() Car What do you notice about a tyre at first instance? Its black colour, its round shape, the pattern, be it of a car, truck, bicycle or a van, they all have a similar look. But are they all the same? No. Like our different types of footwear say flip-flop, boots, casual shoes, running shoes, etc. possess unique features and are specific in use, in the same way, different types of tyres serve to the respective vehicle, road or season they are manufactured for. Tyre's Uniqueness For every type of vehicle, unique types of tyres are designed according to the job they have to perform. This uniqueness is brought up in a tyre by the different proportions of compounds used in its manufacturing and the tread design and pattern. Besides these, there are certain other features like the bead, chafer, filler, nylon belt, steel belt, etc. that contribute to a tyre's design. Different combinations of these aspects result in various types of tyres, say a truck tyre is different from a car tyre by the depth of the tread, more durable compound, number of steel belts, etc. Because of this uniqueness, one should pick the right tyre for their vehicle. Like one should never use the car tyres on load-carrying vehicles like vans. Van Tyres Vans are most commonly used for two purposes as a passenger vehicle or a load carrier vehicle, so in most cases, it does heavy duty. For many businesses, vans serve as the mainstream job doer being the blood of the business. So, for such a heavy-duty job, they need to put on a great set of its shoes that is the best set of tyres. Finding the best collection of tyres for a van could be a great challenge for some drivers, especially the ones living in areas not having any decent tyre shops, but not for the peoples living in Manchester, England. This place is an industrial centre of England having tyre, textile, etc. manufacturing units. Van Tyres vs Car Tyres It is often observed that the van drivers use the regular car tyres for their carriage or passenger vans. By doing so they risk not only the performance of the van but also their safety. Considering the size and shape, van tyres and car tyres are same but not in durability. The car tyres have only one steel belt in them whereas van tyres have two steel belts in them. Car tyres have an asymmetrical tread pattern whereas van tyres have a symmetrical tread pattern. Van tyre’s tread is considered to wear off at a depth whereas car tyres could perform well at that tread depth. The most important thing is the material used in the manufacture of van tyres, in its construction besides two steel belts full nylon protector is used. This difference helps you to select the right set of tyres for your van as it has to carry loads on different road conditions. Types of Van Tyres Van Tyres Manchester are majorly of two types- reinforced or adapted and specially made. Reinforced van tyres are the car tyres that have been adapted for the van tyres. They could be right for your van but up to an extent. This extent depends upon the weight that your van has to carry if it has to take less, then the adapted tyres are right, if not, then one must go for the specially manufactured van tyres. As mentioned above, they have all the features which make it durable and heavy-duty tyres. As van tyres have to work hard as compared to car tyres, so they need more care and energy. They need more frequent air-check, tyre body check (of cuts and bulges). Keeping tyres fit helps in maintaining the overall health of the van like increasing the performance of the van, fewer engine emissions and decreasing braking distance. So, take care of your van by giving them a proper set of Car tyres Manchester and maintenance.

Thanks for pointing out that truck tyres would be different from cars, because they have different threads, compounds, steel belts, etc. Because of that, I will tell my brother to get the right specification when he needs to buy new ones. It's for the second hand vehicle that he bought this month which he will use for his everyday errands.

It's interesting to know that the depth of the tread, compounds, number of steel belts, and more are some of the differences truck tires have compared to small cars. In that case, industrial tyres would probably also me bigger and more durable compared to normal-sized ones. It would definitely be a must to ensure that it can withstand the weight and the pressure of the tasks it needs to do.
